We need your help to convey our opposition to forced annexation to all elected officials and our community. Below are a few steps that you can take today to ensure we will control the future of our neighborhoods and properties.
1. Spread the word. Talk to your neighbors, friends, and co-workers about involuntary annexation. Point them to this website so that they may learn more about our cause.
2. Contact your elected officials. Our elected officials need to learn of the broad opposition in the community to forced annexation. Write or call, and/or meet with each Cary and Wake County official to convey your message. You can find detailed contact information under Government Contacts on the right side of this page.
More importantly, contact your friends and co-workers that live in Cary and vote for the Cary Town Council. Ask them to support our opposition to involuntary annexation by contacting Town Council members and asking them to work with communities rather than against them..
3. Attend critical meetings. Representation during meetings and critical votes sends a strong signal to our elected officials, and truly demonstrates broad opposition.
4. Stay informed. Visit our www.stopcary.com site frequently to keep in loop on events, votes, and other decisions. Subscribe to our mailing list so that we may contact you with information, or requests for your attendance at important meetings.
6. Get involved. We need help educating our neighbors, the media, elected officials, and everyone else who is a stakeholders in our effort to abolish forced annexation in North Carolina. You can assist us with communicating our cause, collecting signatures, and networking with "influential people" in our community. Please see the Join Us page on this website on how you can get involved.
